Rosie MacLennan is a Canadian trampoline gymnast.
Rosie is a back-to-back Olympic Gold Medallist in Trampoline. With a personal best score of 57.305 at the 2012 London Olympics, Rosie won the first and only gold medal for Canada at these games, and the first Canadian trampoline gold medal ever. Rosie successfully defended her title at the 2016 Olympics, capturing unprecedented back-to-back gold medals.
Rosie MacLennan's passion for trampoline runs deep in her family. Her grandfather was selected for the 1940 Summer Olympics, but was unable to compete due to the outbreak of World War II. Her siblings were also trampoline athletes, and when Rosie was young, she would tag along to their lessons. By the age of seven, she’d had enough of sitting on the sidelines and started training herself. By age eleven, she was competing internationally.
In 2005, 2009 and 2011, Rosie was the Canadian National Women’s Champion in synchronized trampoline. Based on her performance at the 2007 World Championships, Rosie earned her way to her first Olympic appearance in Beijing where she placed 7th. En route to the London Olympics in 2012, Rosie won gold at the 2011 Pan American Games, and finished second at the 2011 Trampoline World Championships in Birmingham and took first place at the Olympic test event.
Rosie loves the BioSteel product line and uses them to train and maintain every day. Her favourite protein is the BioSteel Plant-Based Protein, and always has nutritional bars on hand. She is a strong activist for health promotion and is a motivational speaker.
